The objective for this week, is for students to critically analyze the way culture, society, and media perpetuate gender stereotypes. This week, students will examine their own assumptions about what it means to be a man, and what it means to be a woman. Students will gage with text, personal experiences, classroom discussion, and a final project. Hopefully, by the end of this week, students will begin to see how believing in stereotypes can be detrimental to the individual and society. |
