See link below. https://www.cps.edu/school-reopening-2020/remote-learning-guide/preparing-for-school/back-to-school-packets/ Kind Regards, Dr. James Welcome letter from Mrs. Na'Allah( Our Class Intern) Dearest families, My name is Mrs. Saarah Na’Allah and I’ll be joining Dr. Toney-James as a student teacher this upcoming school year. I’m incredibly honored to work with your bold, brilliant, and beautiful students under these unique circumstances. Teaching and learning are necessities, and so we’re working to ensure that your students get the instruction that suits their needs, curiosities, and developmental capacities. I wanted to share a little about myself. Today, I am a graduate student at the University of Chicago Urban Teacher Education Program (graduating Spring 2021). I consider myself a lifelong learner, passionate about creating a classroom environment of high expectations, truth, discussion, collaboration, community, and love. Cooking and eating gives me so much joy. On the weekends, you’ll find my husband and I in search of recipes to satisfy our love of flavor, and variety. I absolutely adore the way a great meal brings people together. As a black woman, I recognize the importance of a learning that’s all inclusive, and relevant to the students in front of me. In a world where whiteness is idolized, my response is to promote all cultures, languages, customs, and backgrounds with utmost urgency. I’m looking forward to building relationships with you all, and excited to meet everyone via google hangouts. On the following page is a consent form that allows me to work with your students virtually. With warm regards, Saarah Na’Allah ALL STUDENTS:
